Virus Sterilization Test 1.
A paper published by the Swedish Royal Karolinska Institute reported that "ionized air affects influenza virus infection and prevents airborne transmission." The study showed that airborne viruses are inactivated by negative charges (electrons) and airborne transmission and infection are prevented by up to 97%.Virus Sterilization Test 2.
Research experiment was conducted at a Madrid hotel that was converted into a residence and quarantine center for medical staff during the pandemic. The experiment took place in a simulated ICU room within the hotel. This setup was designed to test air ionization with aerosolized small virus particles. Laboratory analysis was carried out from May 4 to May 14 at a nearby Spanish Ministry of Defense operations center. Ionized air was installed in the fan coil unit at the air duct test space to create a steady airflow. Then, bacteriophage MS2 was sprayed into the test area. In the two stages of testing, the air entering the test room was ionized using the ionization system, while in the second stage, the air supplied indoors was not treated. A reduction of about 2 log units of bacteriophages was achieved in the ionized air, corresponding to a 99% reduction after 10 minutes of exposure to ionized air.Virus Sterilization Test 3.
The Influenza Research Center confirmed that when exposed to the (-) ion (electron) LED Lamp for 5 and 10 minutes at a distance of 30 cm, the influenza virus (H1N1), similar to the novel flu, was 100% inactivated.Virus Sterilization Test 4.
